The National Model

This document is the primary report describing the rationale and conceptual basis of the National Model. Although some of the technical material in this report has now been superseded, the principles documented here remain those which guide the ongoing development and implementation of the National Model.

Implementation Guide for participating Hospitals

This guide provides a roadmap to the documentation provided by the CDMS to help participating Hospitals in their implementation of the National Model, details various topics that need to be considered when a Hospital first undertakes the implementation of the National Model, and also includes the most current definitive version of the Outcome Measures Protocol defined under the National Model.

Submission of data to the CDMS

Under the National Model participating Hospitals are requested to submit their data to the Private Mental Health Alliance’s Centralised Data Management Service on a quarterly basis, with submissions generally being due no later than ten weeks following the end of the quarter.

The next submission, for the 3rd quarter of 2011-2012 (1 Jan 2012 to 31 Mar 2012), is due by Friday 8th June 2012.

The following document includes the full schedule for data submissions in respect of the periods from 1 July 2011 through to 30 June 2013, together with advice regarding the consequences of late submission of data, and sources of information about and help with the process of preparing data for submission.
